Lucy Goes Back To: Iceland Lucy loved her travels so much last year that she decided that she wanted to revisit some of the countries, learn more about them and see things that she missed last time. So in January she flew back to Iceland to see it in the snow and she is now starting a cycle ride around the Netherlands. Iceland - January 2018 She spent the Autumn planning her new trip to Iceland, made herself an Icelandic hat and re-read her Icelandic books. She booked a flight and flew to Reykjavík in January. She loved the flight and landing in the snow. This was about 10 seconds before we landed. All you could see was snow and no sign of the airport or runway. Snow, Darkness and The Northern Lights It was a fabulous, action packed week. It snowed most days, got light about 11.30 in the morning and was dark again by 3.30, so most of the time was spent in darkness, but it was wonderful.
